The Sheriff is going to open some of the jail cells to pets that would otherwise be put to death due to overpopulation. Inmates will learn about caring for pets. I think this is a great idea. Both the inmates and the pets could benefit from this program. The training provided to the inmates will also give them an edge on a career in pet care when they are released from jail.
